My dads just talked me through a cup tie against non league side in the 60’s.
Liverpool played at home on the same day and kicked off 30 mins later.
We won, our fans legged it over to Anfield as Chelsea were beating them and they did indeed win !
Our fans buzzing..

Wasn't a non-league side, it was Sunderland. I was there. Won 3-0. I was one of those who headed over to Analfield and watched the last few minutes of the RS getting knocked out by Chelsea. There were hoardes of us streaming across Stanley Park!

I’m not sure on Laura Woods qualifications if I’m honest, but Emma Paton ( off Sky ) is a full on degree qualified Sports journalist. I assume Laura is the same, but now covering footy for ITV for this.
