You know what, I used to get so wound up by them and so angry when they won stuff, I had to turn over. I couldnt watch the news or look at pictures of their faces but I dont let it affect me too much now.

Not sure if its a fell out of love with football around covid and empty stadiums thing, the fact that im too concerned about us or too worried about Russia, but ive switched off from it already.

He is a problem without a shadow of a doubt. As well as the fact they’ve clearly got lots of world class players, he manages to make absolutely crap players believe they are world beaters and as a result they play well above their actual ability levels. If that keeper was at any other club he’d be jumping around League 1 every other season, and Klopp has him here pinging penalties into the top corner in a shootout to win them a cup.

I never fancied a Liverpool player to miss a pen there, he will have told them before the shootout “don’t worry if you miss here and we lose this because we’re just winning the league and Champions League anyway” and it just instantly takes all the pressure off. There wasn’t a lick of nerves on any of their faces. He is a problem, if we manage to escape the Klopp era without them winning another league or CL, we’ll have done very well.

He's also very good at asking players to do exactly what they're best at. Alexander-Arnold would not have made it at every club despite his undoubted talent for example because the lad actually cannot defend. But it doesn't matter as he's not really asked to that often.

I’d make them favourites to win the CL easily. I do just about fancy City to retain the league, but it’ll be a very very close run thing and will probably all hinge on their fixture against each other. I can’t see who will beat them over two legs in Europe, I’d be astonished if they weren’t in the final.

Thats the problem with certain managers - they love dicking around with things.

Love him or hate him Klopp keeps things simple. No playing false no 9s up top or arsing around with zaney subs or formations like Tuchel and Pep.

Not to nitpick, but often Firmino/Jota/Mane play as a false 9 in their setup.

I think everyone would find it easier to shrug their shoulders at what Liverpool do if we were capable of doing something ourselves. Sadly, we barely look capable of staying in the division right now, nevermind actually winning a trophy.

They landed on their feet with him after years of being average bar 1 season under Rodgers.

Even just the money they get for average players that run through walls for him. They fleeced Barca for Coutinho and in turn were able to assemble a side fighting for honours.

It was probably the quickest offside decision I’ve ever seen made by VAR. Normally when it’s that close in the PL games they spend five minutes getting a magnifying glass out to try and count the pixels.
