Atmosphere in Frankfurt is brilliant.

Think the laws are a bit more strict here unfortunately on what we can get away with.

Well it seems like the kind of atmosphere I'd enjoy being in the crowd for but can't please everyone.

Fair enough, it is an atmosphere and better than Goodison on most quiet 'grumbly' days. But (living in central Europe) it does seem a bit (actually, a lot) artificial to me. And I remember the Nürnberg fans being impressed by the turnout and atmosphere when we came to town. Maybe being an expat I just romanticise the good home games and forget the ones where you can hear individuals shouting at our own players...

Yeah, which I guess is exactly what it is.

In the same way the Champions League is elevated by the Europa League being a tournament beneath it, I guess UEFA wanted to do the same for the prestige of the Europa League.

So it exists purely to make the Europa League seem more significant than it otherwise would be.

Which is why I think it's a pointless tournament. Imagine if they made a 4th to elevate the Conference League? You'd end up either being in Europe or being relegated.

This is my problem with it as well, or just with "drop down" tournaments in general.

You got dropped out of the CL? Have another tournament, another one after that if you fail that!

Crap for smaller teams as well.

Could still easily see neither English side make their respective finals now whilst City crashed out last night

Let’s continue to overinflate the quality of the premiership though

Outside of Liverpool and City the general standard of the PL is hardly miles above the likes of Spain and Germany
