He didn’t pull up trees at club level, the runs at the Euros and World Cup has got him a hell of a lot more goodwill that most England managers got

He really isn’t….

He is a very good player but given the depth of talent available he is very fortunate to still be in the team as seemingly a first choice. He has done very little for England. Also the reluctance to step forward to take a pen against the RS raised questions about his mentality at the highest level
