Wrong, didn’t have it in him to change games tactically, that’s what cost him

You put your trust in league one standard players then you can’t be surprised when you are in the bottom half.

He had a clean slate to bring in who he wanted and he kept playing the same clowns who failed under previous managers.

He had League One standard tactics, the squad he had should have performed a lot better

League one players... hyperbole

He had money but not koeman levels of money. He brought in Richarlison and put faith in DCL. He did quite a lot of good things. It just didn't work out. Thats football.

People hate the bloke who has us in the CL places yet love the bloke who had us in the bottom 3 places.

This is why Evertonians can not have nice things

@Saint Domingo
Calm down. Its been 4 league games, 5 games in total. Let's see how things go. Its a good start but we have 90% of the season to go.

I said I liked Silva and thought he was a decent fella. I never said he was a top manager. I didnt realise it was controversial to say someone came across as a decent person!

People wanted proven failures over a very good manager because he once managed Liverpool. Which other group of fans would actually call for not one but two managers who had the club in relegation battles to manage the club again. If this sort of stupid hipster self sadism was around in the 90s they would have been romanticising Mike Walker.

It didn’t work out because down the spine of the team he put his trust in players who weren’t good enough. He had enough players in the squad to change things, we could have been seeing Richarlison behind DCL with Iwobi and Walcott, but instead it was Siggurdson Davies Bernard and hapless centrebacks who couldn’t defend set pieces. He brought it on himself by stubbornly sticking to a game plan that didn’t work and hasn’t worked for any Everton manager that has tried it.
