You see this.

Former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer is still well out on his own when it comes to the Premier League all-time goalscoring record with 260.

The English forward was sensational for Blackburn as he netted 112 times in just 138 games for the club, winning the Premier League title during his four-year spell at the club.

He then left to join Newcastle in 1996 and spent a decade with his boyhood club, adding a further 148 league goals in 303 appearances. No one has gotten close to Shearer’s record since he retired in 2006.

Notice how it doesnt list how many penos, free kicks or goals scored from corners he did, cos it doesnt matter.
Again the conversation is about evaluating players and when you're doing that useful info like that matters.

I'm not bothered how they keep the goal scoring records I'm really not. It will be funny to watch the meltdown when someone suggests that the Golden Boot should be without including penalties which will happen in my lifetime.

LOL

It never, ever will.

As great as that Man City side is not having a proper out an out goalscorer. Is going to cost them in the title race this year. Thats why am surprised they spent all that money on grealish and not someone like Haaland.

Haaland will want to move next season, which him and his agent will make millions. This season he would lose out of he moved this season

Come on. It's like those who think van Nistelrooij was a great striker because he scored 349 career goals (in 592 games) in his career.

What's more important is that only one of the 349 was from outside the area. The rest were in the area, penalties or from set-plays. Fluffing one trick pony.

He was lethal in the box, brilliant striker in Holland, PL and La Liga where he won golden boots, what are you on about Mate a one trick pony.
