Today’s Football 2021/22 Season

Our next league opponents are Norwich (at home)

Last season they walked the championship as they had done a couple of years previously but their first promotion was quickly followed by humiliation in the prem and this season could be similar.

Norwich two years ago in 2019/20 went down as an embarrassment to the premier league with a mere 21 points, 17 points adrift of second to bottom Watford.

This season they've had a tough start with fixtures against City and Liverpool but then lost to Leicester at home (Norwich are no Brighton) lost to a stuttering and badly out of form Arsenal before getting hammered at home to promoted Watford. Losing becomes a habit so that so called 'easier' games become equally as difficult.

Daniel Farke the Norwich manager described the Watford game as not a vital 6 pointer and hinted at the type of laissez faire couldn't care less attitude that pervades Carrow Road. If that wasn't important then what is????

Burnley provided the blueprint to improving with each successive promotion until you're good enough to stay in the prem. Norwich are doing the promotion/relegation bit but without 'improving' at all, they're far too open and that gets punished in this league. Easy to think we'll help them get off the mark but more than likely they'll just lose heavily again.
