Twas. So what? United being a big name but average was the norm, outside of 2 managers. Its not a dig, just an observation that many English footie fans remember those normal days of what United were. If they unearth another genius, then their financial fire power will pretty much guarantee success.

Till then, they will spend, spend and spend. and might win a cup. (Jose and Van Gaal).

But they wont dominate.
Mate mate mate… football didn’t exist before the PL you must no that. It’s why the 4th most successful club in England are classed the size of potless West Ham and Newcastle

Remember when United changed their grey kit because their players 'couldn't see each other'? Are they having similar issues with this green kit thinking it's pieces of grass running around the field?

Man Utd deserve everything they get for hiring a manager on credentials as Ajax manager.

Eredivisie. Pffft.

Any manager, from any league, with any ability and with any history of success would fail if they went to this squad without the intent to bin nearly all of them off within 12 months. You could put absolute prime Capello, Ancelotti, Klopp, Mou, Guardiola or Zidane in charge of these and they'd still get fired by them.

Half that starting XI should never play for them ever again. I'd even say there would be positives in terms of the squad if, should it still be 4-0 at 80 minutes, he took CR7 and Maguire off without replacing them with a sub just to make a point.
