This. They could have temporary subs. would actually be a sensible, logical way to a) protect players and b) stop cheats.

So I can't see it happening.

I really don’t get it for either side. Saints need a steady hand to have a hope. Marsch needs a situation where he can rebuild his reputation. He’s not doing that at Saints given the state of their squad and where they are in the table. If he joined he would be doing so with guarantees he’ll have a chance to bring them back up in a years time.

Maybe he's trying to collect a load of severance packages before taking over the national team to see him to retirement.

A steady hand gets Saints sent down. They need someone who has gotten a team performing in a way that can win (not draw) games and Leeds were doing that just without the luck (or defenders) to get the points to match. It's a smart risk for them imo.

Not for Marsch though. Fair or not he's done if this doesn't work.
