It was farcical how it got there but they got it right in the end I think. He’s gone to push him and his hand has slipped off his shoulder into his cheek. Emerson’s shoulder barge in the back was more dangerous (also not a red or particularly dangerous).

These refs need to face criminal charges the way they have been handling some of these matches. Clueless idiots.
They’re legitimately the worst crop out of any decent league in the world. Rarely do I watch a Bundesliga or La Liga match and question major decisions. Sure it happens like the City RB Leipzig game last week but it’s rare. In the prem it’s almost every game. I don’t know how they’re allowed to continue in their jobs with the level of incompetence displayed, but no one ever holds them accountable beyond blatant offsides misses because they don’t know how to draw lines apparently. Referees are meant to do a job, not be the focus of the game but they make themselves the focus almost every single game in the prem because they’re crap.

It’s not about what the recipient does, it’s what the aggressor does, or are we deciding fouls on how much they hurt now?
OK then send off anyone shoving someone in those types of encounters. I promise that's not what you actually want. Emerson used more force on Ziyech than vice versa.

It's open for interpretation though, "excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball"

I really don't think a push on the shoulder that clearly slipped up into his face could be considered brutal or particularly excessive really
Threw his arm out, attempting to clout him in the gob.

OK fair. I just thought he nicked the ball
Think he just about did but you can see he's losing his nerve - probably the best thing for Chelsea is it's half time and they can maybe relax. Spurs running them a bit on the edge and they'll shoot themselves in the foot if they continue like that; lucky the red got rescinded, we've seen more given for less, as you said earlier too.

I’m not even going to be one of those fans who says that their club gets the raw end of the decisions more than not because we’ve had a fair share go in our favour that never should have but it’s just embarrassing watching the standard of our refereeing in this country

The World Cup in Qatar was so much better, our officials should be ashamed
