I think it was obvious that Chelsea was a lot better yesterday but I think it was a weird decision. This way, why not always encroach and play mind games with the penalty takers? If it had gone in, would they have repeated it as well?

Still, I think Chelsea would have won anyway. I didn't see a goal in that Dortmund side yesterday

Turns out it’s not even as complex as that. Player from both sides encroaches, goal or miss, have to retake the pen. Feel like this happens with most pens though and nothing is done.

It's a bit of a silly rule that's true

It's one of those where they don't officiate in strict adherence to the law as its written (the game would be completely different if it was).

It's now more common sense refereeing (that loads of people seem to want).

The law has to exist, players should be 10 yards aways until the ball is kicked, thats fine. But if you stick strictly to that then you'll be forever retaking pens because a players toe is quarter of an inch closer. So they changed how they enforce it without actually re-writing the law. Encroachment is only called if a player who encroaches either distracts the taker/keeper or is involved in the rebound.
 

Bayern in different galaxy, only thing PSG got is kick ball toward Mbappe/Messi and hope for the best.
They are like NBA team with few selfish super stars and others are just water carriers
