I think that RDZ brought a trusted recruitment specialist with him from Italy for part of his backroom team, but realised on arriving at Brighton that he wasn't really needed and they got rid of him not long after. Something like that anyway.

Their managers not being in charge of signings is how their continuity is as good as it is though. He's not stuck with a bunch of 'Potter' players, they're club signings that fit the ethos. Unbalancing that could easily go wrong given how well they've done with recruitment recently.

They'll lose Mac Allister and Caicedo in the summer but no doubt will have a couple of unknown 19 year old Guatemalans they can throw straight in.

Seems that way. And they even seem to have continued since that fella left for Newcastle.
Got their heads screwed on. Tad jealous.

Not had a proper transfer window since Ashworth left mind so it'll be interesting to see how they do in the summer. Think a lot of their scouting and analytics bods left for Chelsea too.

Hang on apparently they're signing James Milner - maybe the Ashworth effect has already worn off.
