hope Chesterfield do it, if only because the injustice inflicted on Notts would probably make the FA take the decision to expand the number of relegation spots from League 2

Indeed. There should be three up, three down between the EFL and the National League. The National League is no longer the pinnacle of amateur, part-time football that it was in the past. It's now effectively an extension to full time, professional EFL football, and should be treated as such.

Good to see Notts County win. After finishing 2nd on 107 points, and not getting automatic promotion, they deserve their place back in League Two.

Still on, 5 mins to pens. BT 1
Was out mate. I saw county won but don't know if it went to pens. Remember randomly going to watch them at Bournemouth away about 30 years ago at dean court. Met a guy who had walked from Nottingham with his dog we were all in the away end (about 20 of us). Also because of their history.

Absolutely - I wouldn't be at all surprised if Wrexham and Notts tore League 2 up next season

Notts Co v Chesterfield is a banger.
Glad to see them back where they belong. This still calls to put the top 2 up automatically though, as they came close to missing out on promotion despite getting triple figured points.

Top 2 up, then one from the play offs, with the bottom three from League 2. That way it's all kept in line with League 1 and the Championship.

Due to the mentioned quality of this league, making it no longer the best non-professional league it once was, it should be merged into the EFL and named League 3.

Football league clubs are not going to vote for 3 up 3 down.

Would it be up to them though?. I suppose scraping play offs for the NL might be better, but then there is the day out at Wembley by keeping them.
The FL and the NL Vanarama are two seperate bodies, and the NL clubs and FL clubs will want to keep the play offs, its a good money spinner.
