It always makes me laugh when you hear that a club in danger of relegation to the Championship will wait to “reset” then.
In the EPL you have 38 games with no real pressure to get a result in 12 of them. (The “Big 6” games being a free hit). That leaves 26 high expectancy games.
Relegated to the Championship it’s a 46 game dog fight from the off and the pressure to get promotion is unbearable from August onwards.
And you’re going to “reset”? Good luck with all that.

There is a scenario this weekend where five teams could finish on 41 points and then things would get extremely interesting. Remember in Spain in the case of a tie on points, teams are separated by their head-to-head record. However, if more than one team is tied then the sides involved go into a “mini league” of results against one another, and the team who has the lowest points tally from the matches played against the others would be the one relegated.

Yep after Sunday I've now got to watch Valencia with a really tricky last day at Betis.🥴
