I live in Berlin and take a great interest in the German players playing in England. I've been saying it for years: these German players - the current generation of Sane, Havertz, and Werner et al - are all show and no blow. They have lots of ability, but very little in the way of actual scrotal sacks. I don't wish to come across all Graeme Souness, but these guys are "celebrity fashion footballers" that are as much concerned about their image rights as they are about winning a World Cup. They are summed up by Borussia Dortmund who, yesterday, managed to blow a 2-0 lead against a modest Werder Bremen side in injury time and ended up losing 3-2 having conceded all three goals in five minutes. Entitled, self-aggrandising chokers.
But what about the German players on Bremen?

Absolutely love this

The days of blitzkrieg are definitely long gone it would seem.

Modest, journeymen cloggers.

My point is not that ALL German players are chokers. It is that the so-called superstars, the feted celebrity types, of this generation are more often than not hugely overrated.
I think that's overly harsh, especially on the guys who went to Chelsea because aside from Mount Chelsea have squandered every attacking talent they've had the last few years.

I mean you included Sane who had like 25 G+As in a season here.

2 big results for Leeds and Brighton today. It could be a bit of a mad old
season!
Things will settle and we will see a return to the norm. While Leeds result is impressive I doubt they will go through the season like that. We beat Man City 4-0 once. We were then declared world beaters and Tom was going to rule the world. Lol!

The funniest part of the Cucurella sale is Estupinan who is replacing him is more or less the same level player now but with a way higher ceiling

Having seen Chelsea and Villa against us I can't say I'm surprised they both got turned over this weekend. Long may it continue.
Why couldn’t Mendy have done something similar last week? Answer: Because we don’t press enough.

And you’ve got to hand it to Brighton, what a well run outfit with a top class manager.
