Sorry saints for the blatant pen that the refs, linesmen and var assistants all missed. Better luck next week. Howard Webb.

Fair enough, i disagree on basically every point though lol

5 different teams have won the premier league in the last 10 years. 1 team has won the Bundesliga in that time period... a two team battle is quite obviously infinitely better than one team domination. The worst thing is the second best team Dortmund aren't even trying to compete and are happy to be the second best club who sell their players to the best club. In the Premier League you have 4 clubs at least with title ambitions, and those ambitions are all far more realistic than Dortmunds hopes of winning the league. In Germany no one is even trying to win the league apart from 1 club.

I've tried broadening my horizons countless times over the decades and came to the rapid conclusion each time that in the case of football it's totally not worth it. Bundesliga is the only one which has some appeal and that's mainly because of the atmospheres/packed stadiums and zero lack of fecks towards defending.
Shame on you for not being a football purist and watching the 3rd Romanian League lad ffs.

Germany right now reminds me of the Prem during Fergie time tbh lol but I can see why you wouldn't like that, I personally am unarsed as a supporter of The Royal Blues in Germany lol Plus from the matches I've seen - even relegated team's fans turn up and make for a great atmosphere, whereas here it's cruise control once you mathematically can't get to safety.

Speaking of Fergie - just checked and honestly, with how gash we've been, it feels like City have been good for since he retired, but in reality - they've won the last few but it was Chelsea etc., so you're right and I live in dreamland obviously lol

I stand by what I said about purchases though - players turning up here and bossing it (or at least being mostly great) that have played for relegation candidates in the BuLi etc. really makes you wonder lol

Ex ref Walton trying to explain away saints penalty shout by saying:

1. Not intentional by mctominay
2. Close proximity
3. Hand wasn't in an unnatural position. He was using it for leverage.

On that criteria then:

When are handball penalty decisions ever intentional handball? Maybe 1% of the time.

Yes he was close but he moved his hand and basically threw the ball.

So if your arm is outstretched (like mctominay's) and you are using it as leverage, that is now considered a natural position, even though most penalties for handball over the last load of years have been given for exactly that reason?

The Premier league and those who control VAR are totally corrupt in favour of the sky 6.

We all know if that happened to a team in the sky 6, VAR calls the ref over to have a look and the pen is given.

Absolute joke of a league.
