I think they’re going to be bottom half, but they’ll win games and go on a run somewhere where they only lose like 1 or 2 in 10. There are definitely three worse sides than them I think.

I would say it's a likely outcome, but that it's far from certain. If they bin off Rodgers soon enough, the next manager is likely to recognize their problems and address them in the winter window.

It's possible that the defensive problems could simply result from poor management. His teams have never played "good" defense. The RS leaked 50 in the slip season, and the reason they were midtable last go-round is that they leaked 59 - potential relegation numbers if you score less than one a game rather than score like a top 6 side, the way they did.

Right now they're leaking two every time out, and it's incredibly hard to take the three points that way.
