I guess that's a decent baseline, whether Toney was able to actively able to contribute towards his bets winning or losing (playing in the games) or being able to pass on info regarding games he bet on.

Yeah I saw the Barton comp earlier, and don't think Toney will get punished as severely given he didn't bet on games he played in and its a fraction of the games bet on.
A season-ending ban is about right, maybe stretching into the start of next season too. But we'll see.

Serves him right. Just proves how much these players have more money than sense and far too much free time on their hands. They don't know how to spend their millions and end up gambling it on the Peruvian Under 17's Women's team or something at 4am in the morning. Hope he learns his lesson the kin divvy.
Feel a bit sorry for Toney like, but hes been a silly, silly boy.
To be fair hes bummed around the lower leagues for ages, its only recently hes been earning dough.

Still though, you're earning £10-20k a week as a good striker in the Championship and if I was on the money in my 9-5 job I certainly wouldn't be gambling it away. My mate's brother plays for Cambridge and before they were promoted to League One a year ago he was on £5k a week - in League Two, as a left back!
Wow, honestly thought they were on much less than that.
