I just don't get how Newcastle are doing an open top tour for the league cup. The FA cup would be a push for doing that, I thought it was just the league title teams did that or for promotion. This is a little bit OTT if you ask me. The trophy really is second rate and definitely not a major one despite what the media will tell you.

I think it has something to do with Sky
having nothing to broadcast post 5.00pm because it’s FA Cup weekend.

In 1977 we had an open top bus tour after the league cup draw with villa.
It was brilliant.

Its a very big drop in quality from serie A to B, so if they were to drop again they`d find it very hard to get back up in the near future.

Thing is, there'll be choice of radio stations because it's them. So there should be lots of people to share comms with. Others might do a better job, they'd struggle to do any worse.
