Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I reckon for a day, we can hang fire for them. I realise with it not being wall to wall coverage the date may have slipped in some minds and that no specific offense was intended or implied.

With the campaign pushing a supposedly caring government to not water down implementation of new law and guidance for, ahem, "the police" * maybe we can take just a moment. Remember, the fallout hit and hurt the entire city, and the scum newspaper and it's associates still need held to account.

Villa: went out with a whimper. Half an hour to get another against a PSG team that didn'tt know where they were and wanting the final whistle.

Ha Ha ha.

Brummie tits.

Never forget 1977.
I thought they gave it a good shot. A lot of teams would have fallen apart after going 2 down on the night, but they did very well to get back into it and they created plenty of chances to at least force extra time only for them to come up against a very good keeper pulling off some great stops.
Villa wouldn`t be a team I like too much, but they`ve taken their chance well when they got CL footie and were only knocked out by a very good team with plenty of CL experience behind them. Good seeing a team outside the "big 6" having a good run in the CL and still being up there challenging for the top 4, giving Spuds and United a bit of a headache as their usual guaranteed annual European tour spot will not be coming their way in years to come without having to work hard for it.

Quick question so I know 5 teams from the prem are in the CL next season

If Arsenal win the CL this year does that open up another team from the prem as winners qualify automatically
No but if Spurs or Utd win the Europa League there’ll be another. I read on the BBC sport the other day there could be up to 7 English teams next year if Villa win it and don’t finish 5th or higher. After last night that can’t happen but 6 is still a possibility.

Cant stand them. I place them behind only Liverpool and rangers as the team I detest most. Horrible yo-yo club who have fans who believe their club to be the equals of Everton. The Kopites of the Midlands with royal patronage.

PSG were there for the taking with another 35 minutes left but they allowed them to bounce off the ropes to steady themselves and get over the line.
