Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

United manager will be getting the boot soon. This could turn nasty for United if Spurs feel up to it.

I hope United go for Klopp as the new manager. Imagine the uproar across the park. Would be glorious.
Can you imagine?

Their little heads would go:

Ironic thing to say as an Everton fan. You can't always choose which team you love.

It's not really ironic. No Everton fans except those maybe over 50 are glory hunters as we've won nothing.

Man utd have a load of what I would call part time fans. The type who find it fashionable to support a 'good' team and my point is that they haven't been good for a long time now. So I'm surprised that a number of these havnt lost interest or jumped ship as they are the kind of fan to do that.

I wouldn't expect an Everton fan to do that because most would have done that years ago but those of us that remain are the type to stick by the club for life.

I genuinely don't get how man utd still have so many fans and are so well supported. They've been this average for about 10 years now and it's showing no signs of improvement. Especially considering the vast majority of their fans are part time glory hunters types.

It will just be another case of manager change, complete overhaul, new style of play etc.

It just seems weird that kids still support them and they continue to be such a big club. I guess if it happens another 10 years they will start declining more and more
They have fans exactly the same way the RS still have after they slunk though to 90's with Sourness and Roy Evans and almost went to the wall with Gillette and Hicks - they are an establishment club so the media make it their priority to keep them relevant at all times.

Why wouldn’t he want to aim higher than United, though?

He could play for any side in the league.

Of course he could, he’s brilliant but United were the only side in for him this summer & if there’s a fee agreed he’s off.

Manchester United are still Manchester United, players are picking them over us every single day of the week & I’m not sure there’s even a debate for it.

We’re in a far bigger mess than United.

I don’t think anyone would question United are a bigger draw than us.

But they aren’t the dream destination for a lad with the world at his feet.

Ah, ok, I misunderstood you at first. Completely agree.
