Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

6 years ago I was watching Villa lose to Fulham in the Championship Playoff Final. 6 years later and Villa are beating Bayern Munich.

Just shows what's possible under a competent ownership, who when they have made mistakes have rectified them and then some.

An important lesson for everyone, I feel.
There's been a bit of turmoil here to be fair. Who's still on the books in the player department? here that is.

It's not a hypothesis. I provided the quote. It's based on empirical evidence.

You're just as bad.
Oh I am quite the opposite, mate. I only whinge and moan when you post. I honestly question sometimes whether you're some kind of tool used by GOT to drive down user engagement when the server starts to feel the strain. Your incessant, repetitive garbage drags down every single thread it touches.

Kompany laughing and joking in his post match interview with Young and Ferdinand. Man is a fraud, imagine any of the best managers in the world laughing after a loss. Doesn't happen.
He's merely an interim appointment. His team were smashing all around them at the start of this season, but hit the wall as soon as they played a good side - Leverkusen - last weeked. A draw wasn't a terrible result, of course, but Bayern expect to beat everyone - especially at home here in Germany - and the feeling coming away from that was that the crushings of relative minnows were acts of flat-track bullying rather than pointers to better days. They managed to concede 2 to Dinamo Zagreb despite scoring 8. Small things, but telling...

Over the season, I have no doubt Kompany will be found out big time. But then, I am not convinced the Bayern hierarchy didn't know what they were doing in appointing him. I've long felt they are waiting for somebody toothsome to become available...

Couldn't agree more with you, seems like the biggest factor of his appointment was the fact he spoke German. Bizarre!
