Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I know what you mean but there needs to be a yardstick, start giving goals that are 'marginally ' offside and you open a bigger can of worms than we have already.
I've always said that:

a) you shouldn't ever be offside for an arm, and..

b) the margin needs to be far wider in general. As long as the attacker's body is mostly parallel with the last defender they shouldn't be called back for a toe or a knee being slightly beyond the line. I realise that can still be tricky to call those, but the semi-automatic offside system does exist so..

….i thought you could only be measured with parts of your body you can score a goal with, so your arm/hand doesn’t count.

The foul on Palmer in the first half was the most blatant red you’ll see. From behind, studs on the achilles / ankles, nowhere near the ball.

I can sort of give the on-field ref a pass for not giving it in real time, but the VAR not intervening when he has multiple angles of it is ridiculous. The sheer inconsistency is infuriating and the VAR refs deserve all the hate they get imo.
