Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Lewandowski reached triple figure goals in the CL last night. (Going on to score his 101st)

ronaldo 140 in 183 games
Messi 129 in 163 games
Lewandowski 101 in 125 games*

Norgaard has had his red card overturned from the weekend.
Laughable decision in my opinion. I know full well it was 'accidental', but 95%+ of red cards probably are. Very rarely does a player intentionally try and hurt someone. Intent doesn't come into it. If you lunge in knee high trying to win the ball and make contact with another player, anywhere else on the pitch, it's a red. Just because he was trying to score a goal makes zero difference.

And we now also have the situation where the VAR ref, and upon review the on-field ref, agreed it was a red card. But now someone else has looked at it, and basically came to conclusion that they were both wrong. Sound.

Surely Madrid have a chance. The RS are getting results but they look fragile sometimes. They got gifted 3 goals by a piss poor Southampton on Sunday otherwise they could have been in trouble.

I'd give a full strength Madrid a good chance. Not sure about this line up though. Only these would get to face a Madrid line up missing key players. Like they faced Arsenal minus Saliba and Odegaard.
