Would just like to see violent conduct red cards dished out to the more violent of the two activities if we’re going to give them out at all. Brereton smashing him in the back with absolutely no intention to play football isn’t on at all. But this is the game now, half football, half shithousing.

Rugby does a good job of policing itself, tempers regularly flare but all sides respect the ref and his say so. Granted half season bans for broken jaws probably don't go down the same way for a player on 200k a week etc.
