Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Just don't see it with Mainoo. Tidy and technically sound but honestly just a bit of a crab isn't he?

Obviously very impressive to be a starting midfielder in the Premier League at 19 but I think he needs to add something to his game before Utd fans start seeing through him.

And bringing on Zirkzee? He hasn't scored against anyone else this season... Play him against Everton and he bangs in a brace.

Even United fans were like: 'How rubbish must Everton be if Zirkzee's scoring against them?'

He’s their Tom Davies. Burst onto the scene looking exciting and raw, and looks like he’s had that trained out of him, in favour of being a cookie cutter DM.

I appreciate there'll be considerable derision directed at me for saying this, but I reckon Chris Wood is a better goal scorer/centre forward than Eton Dom. I confess, that as a Kiwi, I might be a little biased, but Wood does appear to know where the back of the onion net is, more-so than DCL.

He's always been consistent bar at Newcastle (he wasn't the main man).

Things just seem to have fallen for him this season. I mean that goal last night was basically a striker in form who, when he hits something towards goal, it's going in.

Dom had 1 season of that.
