Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Football is definitely weaker than it's been in a long time, this Liverpool team really isn't that special and they are walking the title and are arguably the best team in the world at the moment... yet bar a couple of players it's really not that amazing a squad, certainly relative to teams a decade or so back who were the best in the world. Then you have teams like Forest and Bournemouth doing more or less as well as clubs like Arsenal, United, Chelsea.

I mean I guess it's good for the league in terms of competitiveness but the overall standard just feels a bit whack compared to previous eras

I mean I guess it's good for the league in terms of competitiveness but the overall standard just doesn't feel anywhere as good as mid 2000s through to mid 2010s
Its a carbon copy of when Leicester walked it.

Most clubs would probably want to protect their star player who is 32 years old and dependent on pace on the wing by taking him off the pitch when they get into these sort of leads. Not the reds though, almost like they know he's indestructible...

If it's that weak- why are we 3 points off the relegation zone . ?

5-0. I thought Klopp leaving was supposed to end this shid. I thought Salah would continue to fade. I thought VVD would get lost to the highest bidder.

What the hell do I know...
