Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I've been watching football for 45 years and the runs these top teams regularly go on these days were unheard of before the 2010's - deffo something to it I fear.
In my humble opinion mate, it’s more a factor of how much the current top teams have been allowed to game the system financially in years gone by and build squads with 3rd/4th choice players who’d walk into any of the other 14 teams.

THAT is corruption, as is pulling the rug from under aspiring teams with PSR. And that’s why you see record points tallies, goals scored, trophies hoarded by a handful of teams etc.

I don’t disagree with you at all, I just haven’t quite got my tin foil hat on.

Its the outright refusal to change the loan system that's making it this way. Cap it at 3 that's the easiest fix you can make. You want chelsea money, then fine toil in the reserves for the next 5 years.

I agree PSR is a big factor, but only in the last couple of years - post covid really.
Rewind 6 years to 2018-9 when City and the RS were on 98 / 97 mega points totals - very fishy imo

The linesman there, Robertson all over the United winger, pulling his shirt, ONE YARD away and totally ignores it, ref gave it because he had to. Pathetic from the linesman.
These are the unconscious or probably tbh conscious bias decisions that, although on the face of it don't look like much, probably add up to about 10 points over a season. Like you say, pathetic from the linesman. It literally took the United player to stop playing to essentially force the decision out of the referee who was miles away.
