Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

….a few of them playing like they know it’s won and they’re not going to be here next season.

Have to say, with all the pressure off I thought they might give Fulham a pasting today but the realisation is they’re winning a very poor title. I have it in mind that this manager will be under pressure this time next season.
Slott has took over a team that was chasing the title anyway the past few years, luckily for him Arsenal and City have completely fell off a cliff in the league, which has handed them the title as early as Christmas.

They are in no way a team that’s likely to dominate over the next couple of years, in fact I would say they will struggle massively when Salah decides to go in the summer.

I agree. Without Salahs goals, they'll be there for the taking. A bit like when Bobby brown shoes took over from Moyes.

They'll still have Jota's dives and the ever-tromboning Sky and PGMOL cabal though. Even if City don't get a major slap, Pep's not long for them, and so the RS have got at least three more titles coming in the next decade sadly.

Hope Barca take Diaz though. That would be a larf. Also keen to see how Murillo lives up to the hole left by VVD when the inevitable happens. Not as forgiving as Forest that lot and the comparisons will be relentless.
