The premier League is considered the best in the world for its excitement and entertainment, not necessarily the attractive football

This season has been a dud because we were done months ago and it lessens your interest in the other games.
I agree on both points. Premier League may not be the most glamorous or tactically sublime league, but it offers entertainment.

Although Chelsea are likely winners, it has been shown in previous seasons that it cannot be taken for granted. CL places are still up for grabs.

In addition, the relegation battle is still quite open with between six and eight teams (including Newcastle for their slide) still vying for safety.

Then you have a good showing by a number of teams this year which were not to be expected, such as Southampton. Our demise adds to the mix.

In an essence, the PL is much more physical, quick paced and importantly ad hoc with regards to results than other comparable European leagues.

No way is it perfect, but as insiders (native fans) we often do not correctly perceive its interest globally. As mentioned, our form hasn't helped this.

People may be correct that the season hasn't been as splendid as it was last year, but then maybe we (and other fans) were spoilt last year.

I mentioned two off the top of my head. The Everton defeat was a great game for a neutral, of course it was. The premier League is considered the best in the world for its excitement and entertainment, not necessarily the attractive football

Again, just because the premier League has a 7 point gap at the top with 7 games left, doesn't mean it can be mentioned in the same breath as the Italian league where juventus run out 1-0 winners each week. Same can be said about la Liga, where you have the two usual suspects being so dominant, that on a betting slip they are 2/1 to score 4 or more goals each week. Zzzzzzzzzz.

This season has been a dud because we were done months ago and it lessens your interest in the other games. An example is that if we were currently placed where we all thought we'd be ( around CL placing) then that City game last night would of been exciting for us to watch, our interest is there. Instead NEA...

Nope. Even removing us out of the equation, it's been poor.

Most of the games I've mentioned too had no baring on us bit were still great games to watch.

This season has been pap. Everyone knows it.

90% of the games you mentioned were Liverpool games. Were those games, like mine, off the top of your head... I'm not suggesting anything. Just an observation that i found rather........... odd.

Chelsea 6 Arsenal 0
Manchester City 6 Arsenal 3
Aston Villa 4 West Brom 3
Manchester City 4 Manchester Utd 1
Arsenal 1 Everton 1

I'm not denying this season has been poor, i've stated this and have give reasons why that is probably the case. As i've said before, before moving on, one below par season of The Premier League does not warrant that it is to the classed the same as the leagues in Spain, Germany and Italy.
