they wouldn't have if they spent the money wisely. you could turn west brom's squad into CL challengers with the amount of money they spent. look at soton, been up there all season with liverpool despite having their best centre back, best attacking midfielder and lead striker bought from them.

they actually attracted way bigger names than liverpool. forster, bertrand, alderweireld, mane, tadic, pelle, long etc. they did great business. they are all players better than anything liverpool bought all summer.

i really don't get can - i think he's tosh yet a lot on here says he seems decent. he looks hella crap to me. best of a host of awful signings doesn't change that.

Yeah, Southampton did far more astute business. I do think Can will be good, but the whole squad's a mess and no doubt. I don't think the players like Rodgers and, frankly, that is the least surprising thing since Ricky Martin coming out of the closet.
