The condition of Belgian defender Gregory Mertens has deteriorated following his collapse on the pitch with a heart-related illness. The 24-year-old Lokeren player is in a critical condition after being given CPR in the first half of Monday's reserve-team game with Genk. He is in an induced coma in a Genk hospital on a life support machine. "His situation has deteriorated. We are waiting for the worst news to come," a Lokeren spokesman said.

Just heard on Belgian radio that Gregory Mertens has died. RIP Gregory.

Seriously what is the point of Scottish Football. Since the scottish league began Rangers have won the league 54 times and Celtic are about to win their 46th title. Joint 3rd on the all time list are Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibernian on 4 each. FOUR !!!

With Celtic now winning the league AGAIN, Celtic or Rangers have won the Scottish league 100 times between them out of 121 seasons.
