What do they present themselves as that they are not?
How is Catalan independence anything like anything that Liverpool represent?
I think you are confusing a club that represented the struggle against a fascist dictatorship and ergo much more than football with some small time thugs from across Stanley park.
Real Madrid were and are the team of Franco, the establishment and fascism
In the city of Barcelona , Espanol were the team of the Castillian establishment etc

Please please please, go and read up on the history of the two. Sid Lowe's book is a good place to start.

To be fair, that "more than a club" nonsense is looking more like hollow kopite BULL by the year.

Read it last year thanks
Prefer to take my 20 years of personal experience of Castillian and Catalan people , friends and others into consideration.
I'll leave you to your read opinion , I rather rely on my lived experience

So the fact that Catalan could only be spoken in the Camp Nou without fear of repression during the Franco regime is a lived experience that is like hollow kopite bull.

Ok chaps I'll get off my soap box
I do feel very strongly for Catalans and what Barca means to them
It's also obviously a global brand which is a pity for many reasons, especially after what the club did really stand for
I'll get me coat :)

Now you're just talking BS. I expected better from you.
And so you should, I do get a bit worked up about the whole Catalan thing as I have very many friends in Catalyuna
Apologies Rascal, everybody's opinions should be respected and I do respect yours
