Bale tends to suggest Spain is no easier than England.

And Suarez has not replicated the goal scoring prowess in Spain that almost won the title for the RS last season.

Suarez at Barca is not the main man,he is part of a trio of exceptionally talented forwards. At the rs he was the main man. The best of the 3. Everything went through him. The others benefitted from that but being the main meant he was always going to score bucket loads as Gnashers set them up tactically to gain max benefit from Suarez.

For what it's worth, I think Suarez has made Barca better. He is what they've been crying out for. He is happy to play up front on his own,he can run in behind tight defences and very few strikers in world football can hold the ball up and bring others into play as well as he does.

I hate the biting, racist little prick but if we'd bid properly for him 2 summers ago,we'd have won the league. He is the perfect striker for Arsenal.

That's my point, the scoreline was more belonging to an age when matches were played in black & white and goalies could be barged over the line!;)

The PL isn't as good as La Liga but its easier to break through to the C-league (even with a payroll that's 1/3 to 1/2 the size of ours) and or even compete for a title there. There is only the RM-Barca duopoly that you really have to worry about and every now and then one or the other has off seasons. Plus maybe the style of play and the way the refs call matches means that you can easier make it through the league if you don't have that much depth as well.

I hope LVG has told the players to just throw this game away. I would love it if Newcastle went down.
 
Whilst everybody is busy with the Premier League survival race, I'll be concentrating on Bundesliga 2. As tight as a gnat's arse at the top and bottom. To add to the intrigue, Darmstadt host St Pauli and Karlsruher host Munich 1860.
