I'd rather go up against a healthy Arteta than Flamini anyday.

So much for arsenal forgoing the league to concentrate on europe eh?

Severely doubt that. Ramsey's ball retention was shocking today as usual, he sure can get himself into good positions in front of goal but a cat can circulate the ball better.

Think he's a good footballer myself although tonight wasn't his best game.

What do you think your lineup will be - presume your Germans will be back, even if not for the full game?

Fair enough, I mean we're never going to challenge the PL or the CL with Ramsey or Arteta in midfield, it's not realistic because they are not at that level. The only acceptable line up for me right now is this:

Debuchy----------Mertesacker----Koscielny-------Gibbs

---------------------Flamini----Wilshere/Cazorla----

---Sanchez------------------Ozil--------------------Chamberlain--

----------------------------Giroud-----------------------


I would fancy this team to beat most teams in the PL :D

Not quite sure why Wenger hasn't brought in a high quality DM and I presume making Arteta captain makes it unlikely he'll do it before the window closes.

Thought Gibbs was out injured?

Mirallas/Wilshere have a bit of history as do Coleman/Cazorla so could be a fun match whichever is chosen on your left.

I've lost all faith in Wenger's transfer policies anyway, I don't really care anymore. This is the worst central midfield for 15 years in my opinion, Sanchez was a luxury player we didn't really need, the CM and DM positions should have taken priority, that's where we were assaulted repeatedly by pretty much all good teams from Everton all the way through to Bayern. How on earth could Wenger look at the massacres at Anfield/Stamford Bridge/Etihad stadium/Goodison park last season and think "Gee, we need Sanchez". It's beyond belief.

Gibbs is out yeah, I was trying to say that it is the only acceptable team right now for me. Monreal is a shocking defender so yeah, good luck to him on the weekend and good luck to us :D I hope we come through unscathed.

I see two cups in the last few months haven't made you change your mind on Wenger, it could be worse though mate - you could have the midfield and defense of Utd!

Hope you are very much scathed at the weekend but best of luck in the 2nd leg with Besiktas - if your are fighting for the champion's league we have more chance of getting into 4th ahead of you ;)

That's certainly true. Although we were always destined for another close 4th place scrap anyway haha

Have you just been watching the Arsenal for a year. So a midfield with Song and Denilson is not worse than any other midfield in the last 3yrs.

Sanchez may be a luxury signing but guess what we also missed for most of last season. Pace. We were devoid of it upfront. Once Walcott is fit, Giroud will be getting haemorrhoids on his backside from so much bench sitting and Sanchez will go central. It's a position he can and has played.
Agree on the Cm point.

Flamini,Ramsey midfield is a better one away from home. Although ideally I'd have preferred Arteta and Flamini and swap Wilshere for Ramsey.

Think yesterday's game was odd because Ramsey didn't venture forward and make late forays into the box,probably worried about leaving the back exposed.
Personally I hope we play like that on Saturday. If we don't have the DM then keep numbers back so we don't get done at the back.
