Just watched the Real and City game as I'm sure many of you will. I have just one thing to make from that.

Atletico will absolutely annihilate Real in the final. Furthermore, Simeone will cement his status as the best manager in the world.

How does Navas ever get on the pitch in a Man City shirt? The guy delivers absolutely nothing on a regular basis. They might as well play with 10 men!!!

Ruud Gullit was a pundit on my coverage and he was very critical of Pellegrini at half time.

He didn't like some of his selections and in particular that he had two players out of position. Toure, who he didn't
think shouldn't have been on the pitch, anyway, and De Bryne who he said didn't like being on the left and wants to be where
toure was, behind Aguero.

Pellegrini is my pick for our new manager, but I must admit that Gullit made him sound very Bobby-esque.

@ToffeeHibs can you believe the gall of Terry Butcher?

Hibs weren't doing much in the League under Fenlon, but at least there was no danger of relegation

Butcher came in and got them relegated

He wasn't "scapegoated", he was correctly held to account for being toss

He's a grade A tool mate. Failed at every management job he's had except Inverness. Hibs were 5th in the league when he joined and he managed to get us relegated while playing football that would make your eyes bleed.

Last night, by chance I came across a Villareal button badge and large metal badge part of key ring bought from a souvenir stall on the away trip there 11 or so years ago, and have been furiously rubbing them for luck all morning! If there is a god, please do the right thing.

i see city are being lambasted in the papers after a 1-0 defeat in the bernabau, where as liverpool were paraded and basically "won" the match by losing.

suppose its a reflection of the differing ambitions of both clubs.

Maybe also a reflection of who dominates the sports media in the UK. The LFC dominated media were never going to lambast Liverpool for losing in the Bernabeu as that would be a sign of how bad they were. They had to dress it up as a 'victory' so as not to make them look second rate and could still compete with the 'big boys'.
