Aberdeen lost all 4 league games against Celtic last season, that was their downfall.
Indeed it was
The day we played Arsenal at The Emirates they lost 3-0 at Celtic Park I think
That was season over really, although they did soldier on for a bit longer
It was still a great effort from them though. The most important thing for me was they not only challenged but they did it by playing nice football and being an allround classy outfit
Aberdeen were the Champions Scotland deserved but Celtic just had too much in the locker for them
I choose to look at the positives though and remain optimistic that they can mount another challenge. Rangers are probably back next season, so it's likely now or never for The Dons. Win the title this season and even if they get shunted down to third behind the Old Firm next season, they can say that they won it at least once.
And if they can push on and remain a force in the Scottish game, all the better in my opinion
Oh, and in respect to Inverness @barneygumble they are a team that have been regularly improving over a prolonged period. The Cup win was well deserved based on the past 5 years of hard work that's gone into developing them as a side. They were deeply unlucky not to win the League Cup the previous season
Celtic losing to Inverness wasn't the black eye you suggest it was. They are a team on the up
