Today's Football 2016 / 2017 Season

Prefer they won today anyway, generally don't like playing any team on the back of a defeat, especially away.

We have a decent enough chance. Depends on how the game pans out obviously but a point would be fine and keep our run intact.

That said we really need to turn up and win a game like this, the sooner the better. Just get the win, regardless of the circumstances, good luck, bad luck etc. It would be a big shot in the arm for belief right throughout the squad.

For some reason I'm always less confident of a result against Spurs than with any other team bar the RS. We're always crap(ish) against them in recent years.

...we are in a position where we should go into the game with a fearless attitude. Go out and enjoy yourselves, bring it on attitude. It'll be a good test and a game to look forward to.

I've seen a lot of neutrals insult Lukaku, calling him a flat track bully and saying he isn't consistent, only scores hat tricks against crap teams etc.

Obvious nonsense, but what gets me is that the same people love Harry Kane. He's scored two hat tricks now against Stoke and West Brom (as well as one in the cup against the formidable Fulham). He's only scored one goal against the top 6, in their derby with Arsenal (Rom has 2 in 2 different games against City). He's scored the same as Rom now as of this minute, with 17 each, but 4 of Kane's have been penalties and his teammates are much more creative. Lastly he's had 11 blanks in games he's started this season, compared to Rom's 13, so even there this isn't a big difference.

Don't get me wrong, I think Kane's a cracking player, but I just fail to see why so many rate him but don't rate Lukaku. Is it because Rom plays for us, because Kane's English, both? I don't know.
I'm starting to think that all strikers are can crushing frauds, and it's the snide Lampard characters that settle the big games.

Saying that, I was a massive fan of Kane up until recently, but I've got it in for Spurs at the moment, after their display at Big Stand.

It was only good old Thierry who you could rely on to bury them.
