wow, did conte really take 84 mins to make a sub in a game they were losing at home for ages? jeez, i thought moyes' inability to change things was bad

The league is more concertinaed than ever. Any team can take points off each other. No guarantee liverpool will get wins at Sunderland or West Brom.

I saw nothing from Chelsea to suggest they are better than last season. I have seen improvement in that shower and City, but nothing that makes me feel we are inferior. Our defence looks very solid unlike past seasons.

How Fabregas doesn't get into that side is astonishing, as you say Oscar is uninspiring and Willian doesn't offer that much more than him. I do think Conte was right to play defensively against the RS though, it was just that the players he had to implement that tactic were awful.

Finally it is a bit mental they didn't pay an idiot amount of money to get Bonnuci, even paying forty million more than what they paid for Luiz would have made sense than signing that clown did.

i don't rememeber them not starting a season well tbh. They smashed everything in sight for the first two months last season, pundits were already giving them the title ... they weren't even in with a sniff with a couple of months left.

They have a lot of stars, but a couple of injuries and their depth isn't great. Boosted by iheanacho now, who looks a very good backup to aguero who will always miss games, so may be different. We'll see.

Without European togger they will be better and have less inconsistent days, but they will still have enough to mean top four will be a real success for them, title challenge which they no doubt dream off is about as far away as ever though.
