Defoe is good but he's too old to expect a last season run like last season. N Dong might be decent but they needed a striker to help.

Will be a miracle if Sunderland survive this season. Very poor throughout! Totting Ham were ordinary, a better team would have finished them off in the blink of an eye with a quick hattrick!

I keep getting the feeling that Moyes is on the cusp of some form of breakdown as he really has lost his way when it comes to management.

For all the weaknesses of the Sunderland squad, the Moyes of old (the one we enjoyed) could organise a team and make them resilient.

Sunderland on the other hand look woeful at the back and Moyes seems fraught with a lack of optimism and enjoyment.
