Anyone think that West Ham could go down this year?

On paper you would say "no chance" but they are historically one of the yoyo clubs, and just maybe this year will see that pattern playing out again.

I'm going to be bold and say Sunderland, Stoke and West Ham will all survive

I still think Hull and Burnley will ultimately go down. Neither are bad or anything, but they've both got such a mountain to climb financially that I think it will be too much for them. They'll both have a proper go at it though, there'll be no Tomato Can Aston Villa lurching equivilent lurching their way to relegation this season, it'll be a proper battle down there

The Black Cats, The Potters and The Hammers can still spend their way to safety in Jan should they need to, especially if we go back in for Kone and fill Sunderlands pockets

There honestly isn't a lot between the worst 10 teams in the the league. Of the bottom 12 in the table, I would only be reasonably confident that Leicester & Southampton will comfortably play their way to a solid position. All the the others could easily get dragged down there and stay down there. It will just be about who can find a bit of form and string a few results together (he says like a genius).

The amount of goals they keep shipping would worry me. When you're losing by a one or 2 goal margin then your defence probably just needs a bit of work. If you're regularly shipping 3-4 like Stoke and West ham then it's very difficult to arrest it.

Both of them already have a shocking goal difference for just September.

I think you could say that about the top half as well. Think City will pull away because their squad pees on everybody elses.. possibly one other team to join them, not sure which yet. Still too early.

Then Chelsea,Everton,rs,Sp*rs,Arsenal and Manu will fight it out for 3rd-8th.

Leicester lord knows. I can't yet work out if they'll surprise again or screw up royally.

I think Leicester will do well in the CL personally. Based on absolutely nothing.

Like you say, in the league, god only knows what they will end up like.

bad season to be a club starting with "S"...

last night was the biggest match of the season here in Paraguay, with giants Olimpia hosting my side, Guarani. Both were top the table with 22 points. Another of those matches Guarani were supposed to lost and didn't. Won 1-0 and now halfway though the Clausura stand atop the table. 25 points in 11.

Going to be an exciting but frustrating year. They've won a bunch of 1-0 nailbiters and when they lose it's 0-3 bad.

needless to say I won't be wearing my kit this week as "Mafia Negra" types likely won't take kindly to me. look forward to my local barrio Olimpia types to bow down and acknowledge, though.

so a suposedly superior spurs side only beat a team 1-0, that we beat 3-0 away and united lost at watford.

but everton's season doesn't count because they're only doing what they're supposed to be doing.

Err football doesn't work like that. Spurs dominated Sunderland and for better finishing would have been a cricket score.

Can easily see all three promoted clubs going right back down. However if WBA's new owners are crazy enough to sack Pulis, or he does something that makes keeping him untenable, I think they're in real trouble.
