Yep, for many reasons it makes you question if there's any fairness left in this league.....and its not the first time Arsenal have had a helping hand already this season

Just watched the replays again mate, not offside because it is actually Kocienly who hits the ball, not Chamberlain, but if it doesn't hit Kocienly's arm the shot goes wide, can't believe the ref hasn't seen that considering how close he is to the play, and is looking right at Kocienly.

liverpool and arsenal have been given a stupid amount of penalties this season, no surprise to know they make up the top 3 alongside united in PL history. This was done in august and liverpool's 3 penalties in 2 games enhances their lead. It is so so laughable that they have had so many favourable decisions from refs as well as the billion pounds they've spend, not to even win the league won by leicester and blackburn.

Replays show not offside, Chamberlain doesn't touch it, Kocienly kicks it up onto his own arm, if it doesn't hit his arm, it goes wide, so has to be handball.

I've just watched the replays on Sky. The above is correct IMO. Ball came off Koscielny's boot, but came off at such an angle that it was going wide. With the ball then hitting his arm and going in, he has gained an advantage from the ball hitting a part of his body that would ordinarily count as 'hand-ball', albeit innocently. Had it hit his chest, no problem. Off his arm...

Very proud of the team today after a trip away to Russia they still came back and put everything into that performance.

Hopefully other clubs will try to put some more pressure onto this City side, they can be got at.
Well done mate - the Arsenal result must grate though - they always seem to find a way of staying with you

Total farce that, really sums up the terrible state of football officiating...

Even if the ref decides to not see the ball hit Koscielny's arm....clearly koscielny is offside when Chamberlain hits his shot before it deflects off koscielny....

i doon't think an arm offside counts as offside, because it's not a part of the body you can (well not supposed to) score with.

At the point when the ball was headed across goal by the other Arsenal player, Koscielny was NOT offside. The moot point is the part of the body from which the ball crossed the line for a goal...

At the very least that would make it offside

When the ball is crossed in mate both Chamberlain and Koscienly are onside, Koscienly is in front of Chamberlain, at first it looks like Chamberlain is the one who hits the ball onto Koscienly's arm, but from the replays it is actually Koscienly who hit's the ball up onto his own arm, and it crosses the line. If the ball doesn't hit his arm then his shot goes wide. It was mentioned that it was an accidental hand ball, doesn't matter for me, has to be handball, the worse thing is the ref is literally looking right at Koscienly.

Once again, I say this above. NOT offside. If the ball goes in off his chest, no problem. The ball, however, goes in off his arm, and he therefore gains an advantage by doing so (this applies if it happens in any part of the pitch). Hand-ball, whether accidental or otherwise.

One hears pundits (ex-players!) saying that certain things on the pitch were accidental, so shouldn't be punished by a foul. What planet are they on??? Didn't mean to disembowel him ref, it was an accident (Carragher in the last minute of the Clattenberg derby). OK, carry on. Didn't mean to hand-ball on my own goal line. OK, carry on, no pen and no red card. That is the absurdity of some of the things we hear nowadays (not the second example I give - that is just extrapolating it to a ludicrous conclusion).

I thought Chamberlain played it. It prob is an accidental hand ball then for me.

It's a frustrating one for sure but they seem to squirm last minute wins a few times per season anyway. It's at least positive that they didn't look very good today.

You get no prizes for looking good in October.

3pts and a clean sheet on the road.

We've only clicked for 30mins against Chelsea this season yet here we sit sandwiched by 3 teams getting rave reviews for their 'excellent' starts andong just 2pts from the summit.
Now that's a positive in my book.
