really? i don't get that opinion. Most fans don't seem that arsed when we go out. we all say "hell i'd even take a league cup now", but that's as positive as it gets. If we really cared about it we wouldn't field such weak teams every year.

And when the vermin win it we convince ourselves its just a mickey mouse trophy, the truth is always hard to take.

Surprised the final is not at Anfield. Special commemoration year for their big stand. Sly how its at a neutral venue though so its not a nailed on win for them. Rafael's newcastle in the semi (second leg home of course) with Rafael fawning all over them handing them the win to play the winner of United Arsenal who have kicked lumps out of each other.

could be worse. It is an utterly pointless competition though, who genuinely cares about it?
I understand your sentiment as it is widely regarded as a lesser competition and probably fairly so, but it must bring some joy for the winners.

If we were to actually win the League Cup (or whatever it's called these days) and end our cup drought then I doubt you'd say it is pointless.

Personally, it could be the catalyst for further success and raise the profile of the club as one who desires success even if just marginally.

And with regards to Liverpool, I bet Klopp is rubbing his hands with glee as it's getting close to being a gift of a cup.

i would be happy, but i wouldn't exactly be in tears like i would with an FA Cup win. It's all just a bit meh for me, it's a reserves cup mainly, it's not a world away from the cup our u23's are playing in, bar the format differences. I've never seen us win anything, i'd be pleased to see us win it, but i'm never gutted when we go out, it is a popular opinion, if you see the type of teams the RS, spurs, city etc. have out out this week, that's a good barometer to me.

Me.

I have sat through 2 finals that we've lost. The pain of the Birmingham City loss hasn't gone away. I still can't remember any of the journey home from Wembley and it wasn't down to alcohol . I was that numb.

Mourinho will get to the final. He will ruin it against rs/Arsenal/Saints/Barcodes and he will win it. It will be one of the worst spectacles in memory.

United fans will forget they hated LVG for playing the same style.
