I've always been an advocate of José's managerial prowess, however even I can't defend how much he seems to have lost his ability.

Mourinho inherited a shambles. Getting this very expensive team to be in the top 4 would be an achievement worthy of only a god .

i wouldn't say they're particularly hard to beat ... just their keeper is.

They've beaten ourselves and Liverpool at home and took a point from Manure away (even if the latter are lacklustre at the moment).

When you compare that to how frugal they have consistently been as a club and the players at their disposal, I'd say it's a fair achievement.

As I said, they will still ultimately struggle to stay up but I think they've got a much better chance than they did two years ago.

As for Burnley, they have a fantastic sponge of a defence. Soaked up the entire Mersey and still had enough for the Manchester tears.

It's a shame as he was a fantastic manager who made the league he was competing in a more interesting place, but you're probably correct.

How he's still being allowed to commentate on games is way beyond me. He makes more gaffs than Trump and his knowledge is waning.
