I do have a soft spot for Barcelona however. And R. Madrid are number 2 on my hate list in world football so I'm generally rooting for Barça (except v Athletic) as the viable option to displace Madrid.
Great first seasonOne of my best mates here is from Alicante. Have had some good times down there. In the city and out in Urbanova just outside. Love the indie club there...Stereo I think it is. My mates an Atleti fan so actually caught a friendly game in Hercules stadium down there be Atleti the summer before last. Think
Love Bilbao, a club to admire. Brought a mate who is a mad Athletic fan to watch the cops game last week. Really regret no going to San Mames before it closed its doors though. Have learned from that and will get to the Vicente Calderon in the next couple of months before it's also done.
Valverde is doing a fine job, but I miss Bielsas crazy team.
Great first season
Magical night that one. Just a pity they had nothing left in the tank in the 2 finals.Still sadly have a download of that win at Old Trafford somewhere on the PC. I don't think I've ever seen a Ferguson team so utterly dominated at home

that must be the most devastating knockout blow struck by Sevilla that didn't involve orange soft drink in ages
What happened?
It was scoreless when I was watching earlier on.
Ramos scored an absolute bullet header from a fantastic cross, unfortunately into his own net. Then Sevilla scored again in the 91st or 92nd minute.
