In rugby they now take you off for a head injury assessment to decide whether you can play on. Usually if you fail that you sit out the next game. If you get 2 concessions inside a month then usually you need a month off. Repeated concessions can be a reason to retire. Indeed George North is probably one more away from being told to call it a day.

They have improved somewhat but still not unusual to see a player go straight back on and then feel ill later and have to be withdrawn.

...he got MoM when we played them a few weeks ago. He's a big unit.

Was almost thinking something like you can have players only able to come on if a head injury occurs. Not part of the sub bench, sub to be determined by doctor or something. I dunno what the answer is but something needs to change.
