Today's Football 2017-18 Season

will wait until they play a team who can defend before jizzing tbh, they have played against two of the worst defences in the league so far. Man city swatted everyone away last season at the start and they never even got a sniff of the title. It looked like the same story as last season when swansea were 5 at the back, it was only when they tried to get back into it and went 4 at the back that they caved in.

Good start so far by united though, i just don't think that back 4 is good enough to win the league myself.

United have an incredible defence, and with Matic they have an incredible midfield. If they can continue to be clinical they will either win the league or come very close.

Also imagine having a player as good as Martial on the bench. That's decent depth. They'll probably bring Zlatan back in January too.

Thought Lukaku was generally poor again. Scored a goal when his side was already ahead as usual, not much else.

^ Basically that.

West Ham and Swansea are cannon fodder for a side with an attacking unit that features technically sound and increasingly settled players of the likes of Pogba and Mkhitaryan. The problem will arrive when United need to pin good teams back consistently, hold the ball in the final third so as to not be open to a quick, quality counter and have to find harder to achieve gaps in defenses.

That's precisely what the don't have, and with the likes of Rom up front they'll lack quick back to front transition too.

They won't be anywhere near the title. Feel free to vault me on it - their aim is to sneak in the top four.

A great defence is exactly what they have. And their aim is obviously to win the league.

At least you're not bitter.
