He warned the Dutch keeper twice but didn't book him and then first time up he sends the Irish keeper off. These are 16 yr old kids, show some common sense ffs

That's another thing about this crappy sport. The ref would never have the bottle to do that in an actual world cup quarter final. Rules are in place, but are only used when it suits.

Oh in that case he also should have booked the Dutch keeper (without warning). Haven't seen the game btw. Quite unfair this.

It's to avoid situations like this:

right, yea, that would be understandable but the Ireland keeper had one foot on the line when the ball was struck.
absolutely daft sending off a 16 year old at the most important moment of his life

And once again a game is decided because...

The defending team had no one on the posts from a corner. Soft winning goal for Fulham

Someone on the post would have simply headed the ball away, and the aggregate would have remained at 1-1...

Fulham in the premier league again would be interesting. They have a seriously wealthy owner who’s committed.

They had the same seriously wealthy, committed owner when they went down. Both here and with his NFL team, he’s a well-meaning type who doesn’t quite know what to do. The Jaguars and Fulham both had good seasons but it’s the first time either of them have been successful since he took over. No idea if it’s sustainable or not.

Right quite harsh if I see the video; it's not really outspoken since he still has a foot on the line. Could have been avoided if he had booked the Dutch GK first. No way he would have done this then. Unfair, not Henry blatantly unfair, but still unfair.

@NeroCeasar : It's a yellow though if he interprets it as leaving the line. It's somewhere in the IFAB rules; offence by goalkeeper (e.g. leaving the line) is cautioned - so a yellow card. (http://www.theifab.com/laws/determining-the-outcome-of-a-match/chapters/kicks-from-the-penalty-mark)

If the goalkeeper commits an offence and, as a result, the kick is retaken, the goalkeeper must be cautioned
