Today's Football 2017-18 Season

Total borefest. A fixture which gets a ridiculous amount of hype every season but more often than not fails to deliver.

At least Liverpool had a go at winning the game. United were cowardly considering how well they've started this season. In the second half they barely got a kick in Liverpool's half, let alone created anything.

This is hardly a vintage Liverpool side. Why not have a go at them?

Lukaku summed up the Mancs performance in the second half. Completely anonymous.

Mourinho may be a winning machine, but my god his teams are shocking to watch. He sets out to kill every game. TV companies stay clear.

His teams play the most boring winning football I've ever seen. There's a good reason why Barca didn't want anything to do with him.
Not true. Mourinho teams are great at smashing the small teams and making sure he doesn't lose against the big sides.

We would kill for a manager that's delivered that.

...they all miss chances, we can criticise Lukaku but he is a top notch notcher.

I agree. But that kind of chance from that position, and that distance, should have been buried either side of the 'keeper. Hence my point about more clinical strikers than him putting it away...

..he’s as clinical as they come. You mentioned Vardy, who couldn’t hit a barn door at times last season. One thing I wouldn’t criticise is his finishing, he’ll miss chances but he’ll score goals with the best of them. It’s his all around game that leaves top CFs ahead of him.

This will be the day when City well and truly take control. Depressing because I'd like the title not to be a procession but fair play to Pep.
