Liverpool's center backs are really good but it has to help that they can absolutely manhandle center forwards without penalty. I'd imagine Keane would be excellent if those rules applied to him.

There's been enough for me in the last few games that any half decent strike force will score past them

Agreed. They hardly look unbeatable here. Of course they'll be nailed on for the title after this because City dropped points on a handball and they squeaked past Brighton at home.

The score would suggest they've toiled a bit but, and lets face it, they barely broke out of first gear there. They'll be made up that they've stopped conceding as well.

That's a problem though. Leagues are won and lost based on who can consistently bring their best game. It's why last season the RS were 25 points back in the league but in the CL final. Because they can get up for big games but not always against teams like this.

liverpool going to be some force to beat this year

hard to score against and capable of scoring lots of goals
Let's wait until they've played a few more games before anointing them shall we. I remember Man Utd in 1985 winning their first 10 matches and t was declared they'd finally won the league, I think they came fourth in the end!!

To be fair to Brighton, they stopped Liverpool from playing in the middle of the park. They’ll always be a danger with the front three but the will be times in the season. When better drilled teams with a bit more quality than Brighton will cause them problems. Once the toll of extra competitions and travelling to European sway games they will unravel.

A couple of seconds lapse of concentration by a Brighton player in his own half...

Better finishing and Brighton would have got something from this game...

The RS are no better than last season...

Honestly it's a shame that Lineker played for us because Everton means absolutely nothing to him despite being a huge reason why he went to Barcelona

And yet they still picked up 3 points. Their last two games have been Palace away and Brighton at home and picked up 6 points. Last season they would have picked up 2 or 4 points.

They are going to challenge this season as they have strengthened key areas. We can take the mick out of them all we like but I wish we were in their position.

They are a solid team with a great attack. I'm not looking forward to the derby at all. They're going to smash us to bits if we don't sort ourselves out.

I wish we were in a position to lose a CL final
